Andy Goldsworthy

  • What is the title of your Artwork? Sun
  • What location did you choose? Why? I went to Big Cottonwood because I wanted to use the river in some way.
  • What nature materials is it made out of? Dandelions, rocks, and the river.
  • What is its approximate size? Why?  About two feet wide, because it was easiest to make it that size.
  • Can people interact with it? If so, how? Please be very specific. They can take the flowers out, or move the rocks and the flowers will flow down the river.
  • How did you take the surrounding areas into consideration while creating this piece? I looked for a spot in the river that would be easiest to get something to stay, then I looked around to see what was available to put in it.
  • What message does it convey?  It shows beauty in nature. I feel like it looks like a little spot of sunshine.

  4. I love this! I think that working with water can be such fun and the dandelions are a nice contrast to the rest of the materials in your photos. Simply charming :)

  5. I really like what you did here! I like that it's in the waterfall, so you can see that eventually it will float down the waterfall. I really like that you have the bright colors against the water. I also really like how the sun hits the flowers and makes it pop.

  7. Beautiful job! The whole photo has a very heavenly feel to it, and that's perfectly accented by the flash of bright yellow. The rule of thirds definitely worked for you! The way the light falls on the delicate petals gives it a very vibrant yet dreamy feeling. I really enjoy everything about this!
